Sixteen hours of struggle, unity, and strength — shoulder to shoulder with the waves! Veterans from the city of Odesa, our adaptive athletes, took part in a rowing marathon that determined the team to represent the Odesa region on the international stage in Greece.
They set off from a recreation base in the Mykolaiv region at 7 a.m. Life vests, water, food, medicine — everything essential was packed.
Months of training led to a result no one could have imagined — 70 kilometers, a record! Shoulder to shoulder. Without fear, with faith. They crossed the finish line at midnight in Koshary — exhausted, but overjoyed.
This is a step toward a greater goal — honest, hard, but with fire in their eyes.
This is only the beginning. And we won’t stop.
